About the Artist
When I started creating dolls in 2005 I was the only one in my country doing this and it was difficult to learn by myself. But my passion for dolls never let me give up! I started creating miniature polymer clay fairies and sold all of them to many collectors around the world.
During this time my work was published many times in doll magazines. After two years I began sculpting I won ProSculpt Award, first place in professional category with my Christmas fairy, which made me and my family so proud and gave me a lot of confidence to go on. Three years later I was teaching people in my country how to sculpt dolls in polymer clay. At the same time I gave a big step in my doll making career creating my own line of porcelain ball jointed dolls. My first porcelain BJD (Monah) was also the first bjd to be ever made in Brazil. Some of my porcelain BJDs have won the "Dolls Award of Excellence", two of them in 2013 (Monah and Angelina) , in 2016 (Emma) and most recently in 2018 with my resin doll Lara. In 2018 I attended a doll show for the first time. I travelled to Orlando, Florida to show my porcelain and resin dolls at the International Doll & Teddy Bear Show, at which I received my fifth award personally. Today the focus of my work is creating porcelain and resin BJDs. I've been creating limited editions and ooak porcelain BJDs and just started my new line of resin BJDs.
