Miho - Resin BJD - SOLD
Miho is my long awaited Japanese girl. I finished her prototype in 2019 and sent it to South Korea for reproduction in resin but when it came back to my country I lost that batch of dolls to Brazilian customs (among other 30 dolls like Melf, Adrya and Lara) This batch of dolls was such a huge investment, it was supposed to be my work for the next 2 years... I tried everything I could with a lawyer, but I lost it all, and the dolls were probably destroyed. It was a bad phase as you may imagine... Then Covid came. I seriously thought about giving up and stop making dolls for good. During this time I created Cottage Emma porcelain BJD. She represented so much to me! When she was finally sold to a sweet collector in Germany I could afford to cast more dolls in Korea but this time, only 3 Mihos as the big amount of dolls is impossible to get into Brazil, lesson learned.
The first Miho was sold here, the collector wanted the blank Miho to make it become an anime character of her dreams. Then it took me almost one year to really paint and finish the last Mihos. Now I understand I was still suffering from the loss, it was hard to work on them and remember so many of them were destroyed! The second Miho was sold to a collector in Brazil, who is a dear one that supports my work so much and now have all of my dolls (including porcelain).
And now... the last Miho is here, just waiting for the person who will have her.
I won't say never, but I don't know when I will be making more resin dolls. So Miho is the last one, for the time being. Among all the definitions for her name I prefer the Japanese one which means "Beauty keeper" - Mi (Beauty) and Ho (keeper). For me, her beauty means it keeps the hope alive that some day I will be making resin dolls again (maybe I should consider moving to he USA).
I hope you enjoy the pictures of Miho and all the accessories I'm including with her (I saved one DollEssence bag specially for this doll)
